National American University ’s sixteen campuses are located in New Mexico , Minnesota , Colorado , South Dakota , Missouri and Kansas . The university has formed local, national and international alliances with other institutions, including colleges and business schools in Japan , Kenya , Chile , the United Arab Emirates and India .

Students obtaining an on campus degree can study inside the fields of accounting, allied health, arts and sciences, athletic training, business, information technology, legal studies, nursing and veterinary technology. Those working towards a degree in business administration may opt to specialize in pre-law, e-commerce or finance management, to name just a few. In addition to the degree programs, there are a number of diploma programs offered for professionals looking to enhance their skills in a particular area such as information security or networking.

The choice of which campus to attend is an important one. Each campus has its particular benefits and attractions. The Albuquerque campus is situated in the center of town where students can take advantage of the city’s amenities and enjoy the beautiful Sandia mountain views. Business majors may find the Colorado Springs or Denver campuses in Colorado particularly appealing, as the university faculty there represents the Colorado business community in microcosm. Professors hail from fields including accounting, marketing, management, information technology and medical assisting.

Members of the military and government are served at the Ellsworth Air Force Base Extension campus. Both Bachelors and Associates degrees can be obtained in either information technology or applied management. In addition, technical training to enhance computer understanding is available for military and civilian base workers.

Dyed-in-the-wool shoppers will appreciate Minnesota ’s Mall of America campus. Located on the first floor of America ’s largest shopping mall, courses in accounting, business, management, paralegal studies and information technology are available. And those students looking for the traditional resident campus will enjoy the Rapid City , South Dakota campus which is also the university’s original sole location. Students will enjoy a typical undergraduate experience, complete with extramural activities, athletics and clubs to join.

Online campus degrees can be obtained in: arts and sciences, business, information technology and nursing. Students from around the United States and overseas can interact with faculty and classmates in real-time classroom environments for certain courses. They also are able to access the Learning Resource Center online services including ProQuest, Infotrac and FirstSearch.

National American University is committed to academic excellence, as well as educating its students in ways of rational thinking, effective communication and ways of dealing effectively both with others and the environment. The administration seeks to provide a stimulating, caring and supportive atmosphere, and therefore students are encouraged to get to know their instructors on both a personal and professional level.

Tuition rates and fees for both out of state and in state students are the same. Undergraduates pay $235 per credit or approximately $11,000 per year, and graduate students pay $288 per credit. Active military personnel including National Guard and Reservists who enroll in distance learning qualify for scholarships of up to $95 per credit hour. Room and Board is applicable only to Rapid City students, and living expenses are estimated to run between $5,000 to $6,000 annually. Financial aid packages are available.

Potential students should research the specific requirements for the program they intend to join. The main website is http://www.national.edu.
